The Christian dominionists are issuing earthquake warnings because of Proposition 8, the ban on marriage equality in California. Christian dominionists seek to take control of America and the world by dominating what they call the Seven Mountains of culture.  This theocratic movement believes that the world must be transformed into a Christly kingdom so that Christ can return and rule.

Prop 8 is being challenged in the federal court system because it singles out a group of people for discrimination.  At the district court level, Judge Vaughn Walker heard days of testimony and expert witness statements, primarily from the plaintiffs because the proponents of Proposition 8 have very little factual evidence to support the constitutionality of the measure.  The case, Perry v. Swarzenegger, has been appealed to the circuit court, where justices are currently mulling over the standing of the proponents to the measure.  The State of California which was named as a defendant has not defended the proposition.
