Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais read off Robert Downey Jr's film credits, pointing out many of the titles sounded like porn films. But then he took it a step further by saying what we probably know Downey Jr best for are his appearances in the Betty Ford Clinic and the LA County Jail. Downey Jr fought back when he came on stage, saying it's been a hugely mean-spirited night with sinister undertones - but that other than that the vibe feels pretty good so far...

Downey Jr was present to hand out the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical trophy and he did so by first announcing actresses can't do their best work until they've slept with him. However, he did add that all of the nominees did "render exquisite performances without a shred of help from me and that if I could, I'd give it to all five of you - at once - the award - right here, center stage, in front of my wife, the audience, and millions of viewers."
