Griffey Baseball Card Arrest - Card Is Key Evidence

This is like a real life CSI case. A Ken Griffey baseball card has helped detectives catch some big time criminals! On Nov. 4, 2010, Gregory Amyot and Robert Spraker were apprehended for a stolen credit card. Surveillance cameras linked the pair of would be criminal minds to the crime because they attempted to use the stolen credit card on November 1.

At that time, officers found they had a valuable stolen baseball card in their possession, Ken Griffey, Jr.'s. That valuable card was taken during a burglary of 498 Madison Avenue.

According to MSNBC, "The burglary at 498 Madison Avenue occurred sometime between November 3-4. A window was broken and two IBM Think Pads were stolen, as well as numerous sports memorabilia cards," police said.

The police believe that the two were also involved in a burglary of an architectural firm on Broadway street where two computers were also stolen. Both Amyot and Sprakermen were arraigned and sent to the county jail without bail.

Not only was he one of the best baseball players ever, but the Griffey baseball card has solved a crime! Hopefully the crooks weren't Seattle Mariners or Cincinnati Reds fans.US News Paper
