Police nab a drunken owl after the animal became drunk on Schnapps. The officers took the owl in and held the intoxicated animal until it sobered up.
The way police in Pforzheim found out about the drunken owl is because "a woman walking her dog alerted the police after seeing the bird sitting by the side of the road oblivious to passing traffic." The obviously drunk bird was staggering around, and its eyelids were drooping. Also, upon investigation police found two empty bottles of Schnapps near the poor little guy.
The bird did not actually have to go to jail over its public drunkenness though. Police took the owl to an expert who treats drunken birds. Who knew that alcohol was such a big problem with the feathered creatures? The main course of treatment will be plenty of water.
